At Phoenix Rising Collective, I host empowering group chat sessions for girls, covering topics like self-worth, navigating new schools, bullying, and future pathways. We create art, share stories, and build confidence in a safe and welcoming space.

What girls gain from our sessions

My goal is for every girl to leave our sessions feeling more confident, connected, and understood. I want them to develop a stronger sense of self-worth and gain practical tools for navigating life's challenges, all within a supportive community.

Life Skills: Building Confidence, Clarity & Connection for Girls

Increased Self‑Worth

Through open discussion and creative expression, girls discover their inner strength and value. These sessions encourage them to recognise their unique qualities, celebrate their achievements, and build confidence in who they are becoming. By exploring identity, resilience, and positive self‑talk in a supportive environment, girls learn to trust their voice, honour their worth, and step forward with a stronger sense of self.

Confidence & Self‑Belief

By engaging in meaningful conversations and creative activities, girls learn to believe in their abilities and embrace new challenges with courage. These sessions help them develop a growth mindset, practise self‑encouragement, and recognise the power of their own choices. With guidance and peer support, they build the confidence to speak up, try new things, and approach life with optimism and determination

Supportive Connections

Girls build friendships and a strong network of support with peers who share similar experiences, creating a sense of belonging that helps them feel seen, heard, and understood. Through guided discussions, group activities, and shared reflections, they learn how connection, empathy, and encouragement can positively shape their wellbeing. These sessions give girls the opportunity to practise listening, offering support, and celebrating one another’s strengths. As they grow more confident in expressing themselves, setting boundaries, resolving conflict, and engaging in respectful conversations with peers, teachers, and family, they develop communication skills that strengthen every relationship in their lives. Together, these experiences help girls form meaningful bonds, build resilience, and feel empowered to navigate challenges with the support of a caring community around them.

Practical life skills

In our group sessions, we explore meaningful topics that help girls feel supported, informed, and confident as they grow. We discuss important issues such as bullying, healthy relationships, and effective communication, giving girls the tools to express themselves, set boundaries, and build respectful connections. We also guide them through school pathways, helping them discover their strengths, interests, and future opportunities within their education. Alongside this, we support girls in navigating school transitions, offering strategies to adjust to new environments, routines, teachers, and expectations when moving to a new school or stepping into a new year level. Together, these conversations create a safe, empowering space where girls can learn, share, and develop skills that strengthen their wellbeing and resilience.

Who benefits most?

My group sessions are designed for all primary school and secondary school girls. I tailor each session to suit the age group, ensuring relevant and engaging content for everyone. Whether navigating new friendships, school transitions, or simply seeking a supportive space, all girls are welcome.

My unique approach to group sessions

What to expect in a typical session

Unlike other programs, I offer face-to-face sessions and school holiday programs in a safe, inclusive environment. With over 15 years of mentoring experience, and my current role as a Special Needs Education Assistant, I bring a wealth of practical knowledge and empathy. I also hold certificates in Mental Health and Community Services, and going forward I will be attending schools as a motivational speaker. My experience ensures a deeply supportive and professional setting for all participants.

Before our first session, I send a short questionnaire to ensure I create the best fit for attendees. As we set up for our art or craft activity, girls can introduce themselves or simply observe until they feel comfortable. I provide water and fruit, and girls are welcome to bring their own. We create our pieces together, chatting freely along the way, fostering a comfortable space for open conversation. Sessions, whether a 4-weekly program which includes 8 sessions or a 4-hour school holiday program, are planned and run with the same encouraging format, conducted at an age-appropriate level.
